Why some cash buyers might get an appraisal and how that affects you.
What happens if your home doesn’t appraise? I recently had a client ask me if they have to worry about a cash buyer canceling the contract if the home doesn’t appraise. The answer is yes.
While cash buyers are not required to get an appraisal, smart ones will still do so. If they’re concerned about paying too much, they may get an appraisal during their option period. This allows them the opportunity to back out if the home doesn’t appraise.
How do we navigate this? My goal is to get you to the finish line. That’s why we’ll have an upfront consultation on how we can handle these conversations so we can be proactive instead of being surprised.
If you have any other questions about listing your home, call or email me. I’d love to talk about how we sell houses in the Austin market.
